On December 16, 2023, a sports competition was held among students of Uzgen International Medical College of OshSU. The competition was held in the sports hall of Bakhmal secondary school with the support of the District Culture Department as part of a month-long campaign for the World AIDS Day on December 1. The sports competition started with the national anthem of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the infectious diseases doctor informed the students about infectious diseases. The competition was held in hand wrestling, stone lifting (gyria), sack jumping, and tug-of-war. Saparali uulu Askar, the chief specialist of the Uzgen district culture department, congratulated the students and presented the gifts and diplomas given by the department to the winning teams and actively participating teams.
