From November 28 to December 2, 2025, the 7th Asia-Pacific Congress on Public Health was held in Boao, Hainan Province, People’s Republic of China, along with a parallel CAREC health event titled “Strengthening Cooperation Between Centers of Excellence in Global Public Health Education and CAREC Countries to Build a Resilient Health Workforce for Regional Health Security.”
All CAREC member countries participated in the congress, including the Kyrgyz Republic. The Kyrgyz delegation was represented by:
1. Beyshebaeva Zinat Yksanovna, chief specialist of the Public health department of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic;
2. Sharshenova Aynash Akynovna, Doctor of medical sciences, Professor of the department of Public health at the International Higher School of Medicine;
3. Abdirasulova Zhainagul Abdirasulovna, MD, c.m.s., Associate professor of the department of obstetrics, gynecology, and surgical disciplines at the International medical faculty of Osh State University, and a member of the Center of Excellence working group.
During the event, the Center of Excellence of Osh State University presented its best practices in the field of public health. The results generated significant interest among international partners.
As a result of the congress, it was confirmed that a joint project will soon be implemented within the framework of the CAREC initiative with the support of the Asian Development Bank.
It should be noted that Osh State University had previously been recognized as one of the Top 5 Centers of Excellence in global public health education among the countries of the region.
