*IRCAPS Center and the SATREPS Project Presented at the JICA Anniversary Event* On January 30, an anniversary event organized by JICA and the Kyrgyz–Japanese Center for Human Development took place in Bishkek, marking the 25th anniversary of the JICA Office in the Kyrgyz Republic and the 30th anniversary of the Center. During the event, the international research project SATREPS was highlighted as one of the notable examples of scientific cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan. The project is jointly implemented by Osh State University and the Tokyo Institute of Science and aims to develop a scientifically grounded system for assessing ambient air pollution. A key outcome of the project is the establishment of the Inter-Institutional Research Center for Air Pollution Studies (IRCAPS) at Osh State University, which integrates research activities in the fields of environmental science, public health, and sustainable development. 94 09:30 04-02-2026
