On April 9, 2026, a special model-based excursion lesson on Astronomy was organized for students of groups ELs 9-1-25, TSs 9-1-25, and TSs 9-2-25 of the OshSU KMOP College. The lesson was conducted by instructors from the STEM Innovation College: Uuljan Abdukadyrova, Gulsun Toktorbaeva, and Aisuluu Amanbai kyzy. The main goal of the class was to deepen the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom through practical visualization.
During the lesson, students explored the following:
Models of Celestial Bodies: The structure of the Solar System, the placement of planets, and their movements were demonstrated using special scale models.
Working with a Telescope: Students learned the operating principles of modern telescopes and gained initial practical experience in methods for observing the sky.
Interactive Discussion: The excursion concluded with an engaging Q&A session on the expansion of the universe, black holes, and the future of space exploration, led by M. Oskonbaev, Associate Professor of the ETF Department and Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
This format of instruction significantly boosts students' interest in science and serves as a great facilitator for mastering complex topics.
