Every year on September 7, the world observes the International Day of Clean Air for blue skies, drawing attention to the importance of clean air for human health, environmental sustainability, and quality of life.
For IRCAPS, this day has particular significance. Air pollution is a complex environmental and public health challenge that requires reliable scientific data, modern monitoring technologies, and effective cooperation among research institutions, government authorities, and communities.
The establishment of the IRCAPS air quality monitoring station and research laboratory at Osh State University represents an important contribution to strengthening scientific capacity in Kyrgyzstan in this field.
The modern monitoring station will support the collection of reliable air quality data, while the research laboratory will provide opportunities for detailed analysis and scientific investigation of air pollutants.
Within the framework of the SATREPS project, IRCAPS aims to strengthen the scientific and technical capacity of specialists in Kyrgyzstan, contribute to a better understanding of air pollution, and support research into its potential effects on human health and the environment.
