On September 16–17, 2026, Bakytbek Mamataqulovich Keneshov , Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies at the Institute of Natural Sciences, Physical Education, Tourism and Agrarian Technologies of Osh State University, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, undertook a research visit to Ferghana State University.
The research visit was carried out within the framework of the cooperation agreement between Osh State University and Ferghana State University (FerSU) and was aimed at conducting joint research on the chemical composition of plants found in Kyrgyzstan.
As part of the scientific cooperation, samples of essential oils extracted from 10 plant species growing in Kyrgyzstan were transferred to relevant specialists for further analysis using modern laboratory equipment.
The main objective of the research is to study the chemical composition of plants in Kyrgyzstan using modern analytical methods, identify biologically active compounds, and further apply the research findings in joint scientific projects.
The research visit marked another important step in strengthening scientific cooperation between Osh State University and Ferghana State University and in developing joint research in the field of plant-based raw materials and their chemical composition.
