At the College of International Educational Programs of Osh State University, an entrance diagnostic test in English was conducted for 1st-year students of the Translation Studies Department. The testing was held offline. Students were offered 20 multiple-choice questions with 4 answer options aimed at checking their vocabulary and grammar knowledge. The purpose of the event was to determine the initial level of knowledge of first-year students to further improve the educational process and enhance the quality of training for future translators. Based on the test results, an analysis was conducted by the teachers of the department.
