Professor Abdugani Abdurasulov, head of the Department of Veterinary
Medicine and Biotechnology of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Tourism and
Agrarian Technologies of OshSU, and Aynura Kulnazarova, PhD, inspector of
the rating department of OshSU, visited Sivas Republic University in Sivas,
Turkey, on January 22-26, as part of the academic mobility program.
Vice Chancellor of Sivas Jumhuriyet University, Professor Hilmi Ataseven,
Head of International Relations Department, Coordinator of Erasmus+
Institute, Professor Ali Aksu, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine,
Professor Barysh Atalay Uslu, and teaching staff met and discussed future
cooperation. As a result of the meetings, agreements were approved on the
internship of doctors of the veterinary clinic of Osh State University in
the clinics of Sivas Republic University, and the holding of "Days of
Culture and Education of Osh State University" in Sivas.
During the visit, they got acquainted with the veterinary clinic and
scientific research laboratories of the Sivas Republic University, and
discussed the issues of academic mobility, personnel training, joint
research. He also met with students of Osh State University, who are
studying academic mobility at the said educational institution.
Professor Abdugani Abdurasulov gave a guest lecture at the school on the
topic "Genetic resources of agricultural animals and growth of veterinary
services in Kyrgyzstan". In addition, it is planned to carry out scientific
research aimed at improving the breed of sheep and dogs in the country by
bringing the frozen seeds of "Kangal" breed rams and "Kangal" guard dogs
from Sivas region to Kyrgyzstan. "Kangal" sheep are distinguished by 14
ribs.Dogs of the "Kangal" breed are known as cattle herders and protectors.
Currently, with the help of professors of the Kyrgyz-Turkish "Manas"
University, the parasitology laboratory of the Sivas University is
conducting blood analysis of 530 cows from Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken regions
for the purpose of researching the presence of theileriosis and other
diseases in cows.
