DEVELOPMENT HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRONOMY AND APPLIED GEODESY

FACULTY OF NATURAL SCIENCES AND AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY The Veterinary specialty was established in 2018 at the Department of Zoology and General Ecology, and as of February 28, 2020, by the order of the rector, it was divided into two departments and renamed the Department of Agriculture by order № 390 on May 13, 2020. Since 2020, the Department of Agriculture has developed a curriculum for the agronomy specialty and admitted students to the 1st year through the state educational order. In 2022, by order № 315-FHD/22.03.02.2022, the specialties of agronomy (610200) and Applied Geodesy were merged into one department. The head of the department, Muratova R.T., currently oversees activities for two specialties: "Agronomy" (Bachelor′s degree) and "Applied Geodesy" (Specialist degree). Agronomy students study the scientific principles of soil fertility, agricultural laws, crop rotations, soil moisture, and soil processing methods. Applied Geodesy deals with the study of the shape and size of the Earth or its individual parts through geodetic measurements. These measurements are conducted on the Earth′s surface, at sea, and in space. Geodetic measurements are necessary for determining the Earth′s figure and size, creating plans, maps, and profiles, and solving various engineering tasks in surveys, design, construction, and operation of engineering structures..

MATERIAL AND TECHNICAL BASE OF THE FACULTY

Osh State University has a material and technical base that provides for all types of disciplinary and independent training, laboratory, practical, and research work of students envisaged by the curriculum of the program and in accordance with the current sanitary and fire safety rules and norms.
