Pursuing dreams through Chinese language—Confucius Institute of Osh State University held the final of the 18th World Competition “Chinese Bridge” for students. On April 26, 2025, Osh State University hosted the grand finale of the World Competition “Chinese Bridge” for high school students, organized by the Confucius Institute of Osh State University. This event, which is the most prestigious Chinese language competition for Kyrgyz schoolchildren, gathered 13 participants from different schools in the country and Confucius Institutes. The competition vividly demonstrated the local youth′s passion for learning Chinese and their profound understanding of Chinese culture. To ensure the fairness and professionalism of the event, the director of the Chinese side of the Confucius Institute of Osh State University held a special meeting with the judges, where the regulations of the competition and evaluation criteria were discussed in detail. The competition was attended by guests of honor: Minister Counselor of the Embassy of the People′s Republic of China in the Kyrgyz Republic Sun Dapeng, Vice-Rector of OshSU Elzarbek Esharov (ESHAROV ELZARBEK), Sharipova Masturahan (SHARIPOVA MASTURAHAN), and others. The jury included Li Guohuan and Li Lianhui of the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, journalist Liu Ying of the multimedia agency “Silk Road - New Look,” Zhao Zhongqi, correspondent of the newspaper “Wen Wei Po” in Kyrgyzstan, and Zhang Haiqing, director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Bishkek. The event was also attended by the deans of Osh State University faculties, representatives of the Institute of Chinese Culture in Bishkek, and representatives of the Institute of Chinese Culture in Bishkek.
Выпускница нашего колледжа провела урок для студентов первого и второго курса и поделилась полезными советами по изучению китайского языка В стенах колледжа состоялось вдохновляющее занятие, которое провела выпускница колледжа и в данный момент обучается в Китае на магистратуре. Она поделилась секретами эффективного изучения китайского языка. Одним из самых ценных моментов урока стали советы по организации самостоятельного изучения языка. И подчеркнула важность регулярной практики, чтения адаптированных текстов и прослушивания аудиоматериалов на китайском языке. “Не бойтесь ошибок — каждая из них приближает вас к свободному общению на китайском языке”, — вдохновила она студентов в завершение занятия. Студенты с благодарностью приняли советы выпускницы, отметив, что её опыт стал мотивацией для дальнейшего изучения одного из самых сложных языков мира.

On December 18, 2024, Elmira Tagaykul kyzy, a lecturer at the Department of Translation Studies, conducted a lesson on the topic "How much / how many" for the group PDS9-3-24, using modern teaching methods at a high level as part of the "Modern Teacher-2025" competition. The lesson was attended by the chairperson of the commission, M.Dzh. Sultanbaeva, a lecturer at the Department of Translation Studies, the chairperson of the Academic Council A.T. On November 14, 2024, the well-known folk poet of the Kyrgyz people, Idris Aitbaev, gave a guest lecture to the students of the EBBP College. The goal of the lecture was to increase the students′ enthusiasm for studying and to awaken their patriotic feelings. At the end of the class, the students requested that the professor give more lectures like this in the future.
On October 2, 2024, Professor Ali-Zarzur, an Arabic language teacher at the Theology Faculty of Osh State University, who came from Jordan, gave a guest lecture to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year students of the Arabic language department of EBBPC on the topic "The Dignity of the Teacher."
Under the guidance of the instructor, PhD in Linguistics, Sultanbaeva Mayramkhan Janalievna, 3rd-year students of the Translation Studies (English) program at the International Education Programs College, namely Abdurazakova Nadirabegim, Kadyraliev Almanbet, Sattaliev Ilimidin, and 2nd-year students Erkebaeva Umutay and Ermekbaeva Zhibek, presented their independent work on the topics "A Trip to Osh City" and "The Communication Formula of Contemporary Youth in Kyrgyzstan."
A seminar on teaching and assessment was held by Aymbek kyzy Aigerim, with the goal of improving the quality of education for young teachers.
On October 10, 2024, the instructor of the Translation Studies department, Bakytbek kyzy Aliya, conducted an open listening session for the 2nd-year students of group 9 at a high level. The topic of the session was: *Training the brain (Meeting an old friend)*. At the beginning of the session, students were given feedback forms for their responses.
On October 5, 2024, an olympiad was held among the colleges of the city of Osh at the College of International Educational Programs. Third-year students participated at the intermediate level in English, competing in three stages.
