Career Guidance: Meeting with Students and Parents from Batken

On December 9, 2023, the Department of General Physics and Physics Teaching Methodology hosted a special meeting with guests from the Batken region.
Participants included teachers, parents, and 11th-grade students from the Seitkazy Ermatov Secondary School, located in Kara-Bulak village, Batken district.
The primary focus of the visit was career guidance and vocational orientation. Faculty members provided the visitors with detailed information regarding the university′s academic programs, modern laboratory facilities, and the career opportunities available to graduates of the Physics-Mathematics track. This meeting served as an important bridge for regional students to explore their future academic paths at Osh State University.

Vocational Orientation Activities for "Physics" Specialization

On October 30, 2022, a dedicated working group from the "Physics-Mathematics Education" department visited schools in the Kara-Suu district to conduct career guidance activities. The delegation included Assoc. Prof. Zh.E. Egemberdiev, Senior Lecturer A.Zh. Egemnazarova, and lecturers Bekzhan kyzy Gulayim and M. Kalbekova. They visited Secondary Schools No. 5 (named after Toktomusa Alimbekov) and No. 44 (named after Abdraman Smatov).

The discussions focused on the modernization of the education system in alignment with the Law "On Education" of the Kyrgyz Republic. The faculty emphasized that modern education must provide students with the freedom to define their own path while adapting to their individual developmental levels.

A key focus of the visit was the integration of digital technologies in teaching Physics. The team highlighted that the use of Kyrgyz-language electronic educational complexes (E-textbooks) is a vital solution to increasing student engagement and fostering independent learning.

The faculty members concluded that today′s graduates face high expectations, including a broad scientific worldview, creative skills, and a commitment to self-education. The working group engaged in deep discussions with students about these challenges and the opportunities provided by the Physics department at OshSU.

Career Guidance: Department of General Physics and PTM

On May 14, 2024, the Department of General Physics and Physics Teaching Methodology conducted career orientation sessions for 9th-11th grade students in the Aravan district of the Osh region.

Meetings were held at Secondary School No. 13 (named after Habib Abdullaev) and Secondary School No. 3 (named after Alisher Navoi). Students were provided with comprehensive information about academic programs at Osh State University and the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and Information Technology, specifically focusing on the "Physics" profile within the Physics-Mathematics Education track.
