In accordance with the normative legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic, based on the Charter of the "Osh State University" approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 556/1 dated February 16, 2023, and the decision of the Academic Council Protocol No. 6 of OshSU dated March 1, 2024, on the basis of the “Physics and Technology” and “Mathematics and Information Technology” faculties, by combining them, the Rector of OshSU, Professor K.G. Kozhobekov, established by order No. 976-ФХД/24 dated March 4, 2024, the "Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Technology and Information Technology" under OshSU, which began its activities as an independent structure.

According to the order of the Rector of OshSU, Professor K.G. Kozhobekov No. 1003-ФХД/24 dated March 4, 2024, the Director of the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Technology and Information Technology under OshSU was appointed: Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics, Informatics and Graphic Design, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Bektur Abdyrakhmanovich Azimov.
