On May 30, 2022, a motivational meeting titled "The More Languages You Know, The More Human You Are" was held for students at the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology of Osh State University. r>
The guests of the meeting were Gulbadan Matieva, Professor of the Department of Algebra and Geometry, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Professor Adakhimzhan Sopuev, Professor of the Department of Information Systems and Programming, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
The event was attended by Jyldyz Artykova, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, the faculty and teaching staff of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology, and students.
Professor Gulbadan Matieva offered the following advice to the students: "If you master your native language well, you will reach the same level in learning other languages. First, know your native language, traditions, and customs, and then learn another language. There should be a difference between who you were an hour ago and who you are an hour later. Always strive to acquire new knowledge." She encouraged students to become educated, knowledgeable, and well-mannered.
Professor Adakhimzhan Sopuev emphasized that knowing languages is the key to success.
Students asked guests questions and received answers.
As part of the meeting, a stage performance by the "Zhiger" Creative Youth Center was held, and musical pieces were performed.
The event was initiated and organized by Gulmira Shamsieva, Deputy Dean for International Relations of the faculty.
On May 26, 2022, at the initiative of the Department of Algebra and Geometry, the departments of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology conducted career guidance activities for the graduates of the Shaby Jumayev School in Kara-Suu district. They provided extensive information about all the specialties of the faculty. The students were introduced to the faculty’s computer center and the museum of Osh State University. Additionally, a meeting was organized with the administration of the Industrial-Pedagogical College of Osh State University.
From May 8 to 14, 2022, Associate Professor T.M. Papieva from the department, together with Professors R.K. Kalmatov and Zh.K. Muratov, and Associate Professors A.A. Momunova and Zh.B. Imetova from the International Medicine Faculty, participated in a work trip to Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in the Republic of Lithuania. Then, from May 16 to 22, they visited the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany within the framework of the ERASMUS+ DERECKA international project. The purpose of the trip was to discuss the stages of PhD doctoral studies development and future goals. During seminar-trainings, issues related to the development of PhD doctoral programs were addressed, and several useful insights were gained.
