Brief history of the department of anatomy, histology and normal physiology of the International medical faculty of Osh state university
The department of anatomy, histology and normal physiology has been functioning as an independent structural unit since 2018. It was established following its separation from the department of morphological disciplines based on the decision of the Academic council of Osh state university dated August 30, 2018 (Protocol No. 800), with the support of the former rector, Kanybek Abduvasitovich Isakov. In turn, the Department of morphological disciplines was established on July 6, 2017 (Protocol No. 8) after being separated from the department of fundamental theoretical and clinical disciplines, which had been founded on August 29, 2015. The first head of the department was Kyialbek Sherikbaevich Sakibaev, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor in the specialty of human anatomy. He made a significant professional and intellectual contribution to the formation and development of the department and led it until September 2021. During this period, the departments research activity was carried out within the framework of the topic: “Assessment of the physical status of children and adults considering constitutional, ethnic, gender, and age-related factors in the modern conditions of Kyrgyzstan.” Since October 2021 to the present, the department has been headed by Sagynbek Zharkynbaevich Dzholdubaev, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor in human anatomy, and author of numerous scientific publications. Under his leadership, the material and technical base of the department has been significantly strengthened and modernized, including the educational and scientific museum-laboratory. Special attention is paid to improving teaching and methodological work, and research activities are being actively developed. Currently, the department is working on the research topic: “Interrelations and dynamics of anatomical and anthropological parameters of adaptation of non-resident youth in the urban agglomeration of the mid-mountain regions of Kyrgyzstan.”
