Brief information about the Regional Studies program

The education program “Regional Studies” has been implemented at Osh State University since 2001. Until 2021, the preparation of bachelors and masters in the direction of “Regional Studies” was carried out at the Department of Regional Studies in the structure of various faculties of Osh State University.

Since 2021, this program has been implemented as part of the Department of Russian and Eurasian Integration (DREI) of the Higher School of International Education Programs (HSIEP) of Osh State University (Order of the Rector of Osh State University No. 2195-FHD/21 07/02/2021).

Today, the “Regional Studies” program is one of the leading education programs of the Higher School of International Education Programs and carries out educational, methodological, research, educational work and practical special training of graduates in regional studies.

The Regional Studies program (bachelor′s degree) in 2024 successfully passed independent accreditation and received an Accreditation Certificate (No. CA-7-24-21П) from the Public Foundation "Agency for Quality Assurance in Education "EdNet".

Excellent successes and achievements in the academic, scientific and social spheres of students in the area of Regional Studies were awarded the Presidential Scholarship of the Kyrgyz Republic. In the 2020-21 academic year, student gr. RV-1-17 Bakieva Zhypargul, and in the 2021-22 academic year Bolot kyzy Aikerim were awarded the Presidential Scholarship of the Kyrgyz Republic.
