Agreement between Osh State University and Kwangju University of the Republic of Korea
2023.10.13 A delegation from the Korean University of Gwangju, headed by Vice-Rector Kim Gap-yong, visited the High School of International Educational Programs of Osh State University. The guests met with the high schools stuff, headed by Director Dilmurat Tursunov. The sides discussed a wide range of cooperation issues, including academic mobility, organizing summer camps for students, and conducting joint research activities. In conclusion, the parties signed a bilateral cooperation agreement, which, in addition to the above, notes the interaction of specialists, implementation of joint educational programs, exchange of academic information and publications, and organization of scientific conferences. Gwangju University is one of the most advanced universities in Korea.
Intenship visit of the Osh State University delegation to the Republic of Korea
As part of cooperation with universities in South Korea, from 22.01.2024 to 26.01.2024, Director of the Higher School of International Educational Programs Professor D.A. Tursunov and Deputy Director for Academic and Scientific Work, Head of the Department of Russian and Eurasian Integration Associate Professor D.A. Akmatova paid a return visit to Gwangju University in South Korea. The OshSU delegation met with the leadership of the educational institution and discussed long-term plans for establishing partnerships. At the end of the negotiations, the parties discussed issues of academic mobility between universities, guest lectures from leading scientists, master classes from leading specialists, joint implementation of international projects, joint scientific research, development of double degree programs, etc. A bilateral cooperation agreement was signed. During the visit, representatives of the delegation also met with students studying under academic mobility at Busan University in the field of "Regional Studies".

















Information about international relations of the “Regional Studies” program
The Regional Studies program is actively working to develop partnerships with universities in the near and far abroad within the framework of the priority areas of the university′s development. International activities are organized in accordance with the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, international legal acts, the Charters of universities, bilateral and multilateral agreements with educational institutions of foreign countries and are aimed at achieving full-scale integration of the university into the global educational and scientific community.
One of the priority areas of activity of the HSIEP of Osh State University is international cooperation in the scientific and education spheres . The main directions of international activities of the HSIEP of Osh State University are cooperation with foreign universities, the development of programs for international academic mobility of students, and the implementation of major international scientific and education projects.
Every year, work is carried out to expand academic mobility among students and teachers, the HSIEP constantly works to ensure that students can fully understand their chosen profession, get acquainted with the materials of scientific research conducted not only in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, but also abroad, get acquainted with work standards, accepted in other countries
The school’s international relations department tries to build its activities within the framework of modern trends, thus the main areas of international activity are:
1. organization and implementation of exchange programs together with foreign universities and international organizations for students, including those lasting from a semester to a year, as well as for teachers;
2. participation in international educational and scientific programs;
3. work to find new sources of cooperation, deepening and expanding existing partnerships;
4. teaching a foreign language at developed intensive courses that ensure the language competence of exchange participants;
5. participation in organizing the training of foreign students and attracting foreign applicants.
