
History of the Physics and Mathematics Subject Cycle Commission
In the 2006-2007 academic year, based on the decision of Protocol № 6 dated February 2, 2007, of the Academic Council of Osh State University and the rector′s order №40 dated February 13, 2007, the "General Education Disciplines" cycle was introduced. 15 people were admitted to the cycle and began full-scale work. The head of the cycle was appointed to be Senior Lecturer Gulzhamal Abdazovna Kaldybaeva.
In the 2007-2008 academic year, 27 people worked in the department. The educational and methodological work of the department was carried out in two areas: the section of natural sciences and the section of humanities. The head of the natural science section was lecturer Zypara Kambar kyzy, and the head of the humanities section was Senior Lecturer Mubarak Chynalieva.
In 2009, the cycle was renamed as the department, and 12 people were working at the department, led by Senior Lecturer Gulzhamal Abdazovna Kaldybaeva.
In the 2010-2011 academic year, the department was divided into two: the Department of Humanities of General Educational Disciplines and the Department of Natural Sciences of General Educational Disciplines. Gulzhamal Kaldybaeva was appointed head of the Department of Natural Sciences at the Finance and law colledge. The department employed 14 teachers and 1 assistant.
In the 2011-2012 academic year, the department opened a specialty 2203- SCEAS (Software for Computer Engineering and Automated Systems ) and accepted its first 40 students.
In the 2012-2013 academic year, the department had 19 lecturers and 1 assistant. The number of faculty members of the department increased to 21 people.
On February 6, 2013-2014, based on Order №37, the Department of “Natural Sciences of General Education Disciplines” was divided into the departments "Physics, Mathematics, and Information Technologies" and "General Education Natural Sciences". Gulzhamal Abdazovna Kaldybaeva was appointed as the head of the Department of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies.
In the 2017-2018 academic year, 14 teachers and 2 assistant worked at the Department of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies.
In the 2018-2019 academic year, based on the decision of the Administrative Council of Osh State University held on September 18 and Order №893, the SCEAS (Software for Computer Engineering and Automated Systems ) specialty was added to the structure of the Industrial-Pedagogical College. he name of the department was changed to Physics, Mathematics, and Informatics, and it has been providing quality education to the college students. The department had 2 associate professors, 2 senior lecturers, 4 teachers and 1 assistant.
Based on Order No. 24 dated September 10, 2020, regarding changes to the structural divisions of Osh State University, the department was renamed to the Physics and Mathematics Cycle. Currently, the cycle employs 25 people, including 1 Ph.D., associate professor, 23 teachers, and 1 assistant. The cycle is headed by associate professor Gulzhamal Abdazovna Kaldybaeva.
