International conference: Teaching English in a digital world, Aston University, Birmingham city, United Kingdom, from 9th July to 15th July 2023. A group of professionals working within the education field in the world and among them Associate Professors of Osh State University Ainisa Akmatova and Raikhan Ysmailova were invited to participate in the TEACHING ENGLISH IN A DIGITAL WORLD conference in the UK, Birmingham. The international conference was organized including academic and cultural visits from 9th July to 15th July 2023. This conference provided the excellent opportunity for the participants to familiarise with UK Digital English language provisio. It was particularly beneficial for improving international relationships and cross-cultural communication skills in the field of English language teaching and training. The experience we gained through visits, seminars and workshops will enhance our skill transferring knowledge into practice which we hope will have an impact on the development and improvement of education services at Osh State University, partially through the project " IELTS language training centre" of IMF. As the intention of this visit was to further develop co-operation between the universities in the field of English language education. There was an opportunity to invite professors of Aston University as scientific supervisors for the PhD programmes. Besides, this opportunity took us on a journey through the country′s history, art and academic institutions, education, entertainment and cultural immersion. #DepartmentofEnglishPhoneticsandGrammar
Participants of the "IELTS Language Training Center" project successfully completed pre-IELTS courses, having studied academic English for 6 months. The course results were discussed with the participants of 2 groups on the topics "Balanced Nutrition" and "Uniform". The trainers of the Pre-intermediate group are Associate Professor A.A. Akmatova and the Intermediate group, Associate Professor D.B. Surkeeva presented a round table in the form of a discussion in order to assess the knowledge gained by the participants. Head of the Science Department of Osh State University, Associate Professor N.N. Kurbanbayeva, and Associate Professor of the Faculty of World Languages and Culture Z.A. Kalmamatova participated as an expert. At the round table, the participants shared the results of scientific research on the selected topic in English and confirmed that the level of language proficiency had increased. Участники проекта «IELTS Language Training Center» успешно завершили pre-IELTS курсы, изучив академический английский в течение 6 месяцев. Результаты курса были представлены участниками 2-х групп по темам: «Сбалансированное питание» , «Единая форма». Тренер группы Pre-intermediate – доцент А.А. Акматова и тренер Intermediate группы доцент Д.Б. Суркеева представили круглый стол в форме дискуссии с целью оценки знаний, полученных участниками.В качестве экспертов были приглашены руководитель отдела науки ОшГУ, доцент Н.Н. Курбанбаева , доцент факультета МЯиК З.А. Калмаматова. На круглом столе участники поделились результатами научных исследований по выбранной тематике на английском языке и подтвердили, что уровень владения языком повысился. По окончании мероприятия участникам были вручены сертификаты по уровням Pre-intermediate и Intermediate.
