The Department of Social-Humanitarian Disciplines is a structural subdivision of the International Medical Faculty, Osh State University. In its activities, the Department of Social-Humanitarian Disciplines is guided by the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Educational Standards, orders of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.

There are 25 teachers at the department, including: 4 candidates of sciences, 4 associate professors, 2 graduate students, 7 senior teachers, 13 teachers, 1 laboratory assistant, 1 head of the laboratory.

The department covers the following disciplines of the social and humanitarian cycle:

Kyrgyz language,

Russian language,

Latin language,

Manas studies,

Philosophy,

Pedagogical bases of activity of the doctor,

History and culture of Kyrgyzstan.

The main goal of the department is the organization of educational, methodological and research work in the field of social and humanitarian disciplines. To achieve the goals, the department works in the following areas;

- high-quality lectures, seminars, practical classes;

- organization of SW of students;

- control of educational achievements of students;

- organizing and conducting educational activities with students;

- distribution and exchange of experience of the best teachers, organization of assistance to young teachers in acquiring pedagogical skills;

- preparation of e-books, textbooks and other educational materials;

-guiding the research work of students;

-improving the cultural and moral level and intellectual potential of teachers and students.
